Even if you haven’t gone public with your pregnancy yet,  you should have a confidential talk with your instructor let him or her  know of your pregnancy, the instructor will then be able to assist you  with less strenuous postures or teach you poses that you aren’t doing  that will help you.<span id="more-285"></span></p>
<p>If you are new to yoga and are looking for a low impact way of  exercising the best thing to do is to look for a prenatal yoga class.  These classes are designed for pregnant parishioners and you can start  them as early in your pregnancy as you want. If you are having morning  sickness, you may want to wait until that passes and that usually is the  second trimester.</p>
<p>If you have been practicing yoga for a while, you still may find your  regular classes seem to be too intense for you. Prenatal classes may  seem too easy, so at this point you will need to decide which class you  should take on a given day depending on how you feel.</p>
<p>The solution might also be to include some prenatal poses that have  been adapted into your regular routine. If you are in a class, your yoga  instructor may help you with special poses developed for pregnancy and  your changing body. When you enter the second or third trimester, you  may find that prenatal classes are more suited for your body and its  changing shape.</p>
<p>If you do Yoga with videotape, you should buy a prenatal video. Some  of the recommended poses are ones that open the hip such as Pigeon,  Triangle, Warrior II, and Knee to Ankle.</p>
<p>Second Trimester?</p>
<p>Are you a Yoga enthusiast and want to continue to do your practice  while pregnant? Yoga can continue to be practiced during your second  trimester with just a few precautions.</p>
<p>By the second trimester, your morning sickness should be over and should be feeling better.</p>
<p>If you haven’t yet started a yoga yet and wish too, and you are in luck, “now is the perfect time to start”.</p>
<p>Always contact your health care provider before starting any new  exercise program. This is a good rule of thumb even if you aren’t  pregnant.</p>
<p>Start with finding a class with an excellent and experienced  instructor. Many women enter yoga for the first time during their  pregnancy so don’t worry that you will be the only new pregnant woman in  class. Talk with your friends and get references for and instructor.</p>
<p>If you are already practicing yoga, there is no need to give up your  classes if you feel strong enough to do them. You can incorporate your  own adaptations to the poses when fitting. As your belly grows, the more  adaptations you will need to make. You will want to take any inversion  pose to the wall if it poses a risk of falling. If you aren’t  comfortable doing these poses, then it’s all right to give your body  permission to skip them. One that you can practice safely is the Legs Up  the Wall Pose.</p>
<p>If you practice at home, you still might consider going to a prenatal  class at least once or twice a week. You will be able to connect with  other pregnant women there and know you are not alone in what you are  going through.</p>
<p>Some Yoga Poses you will want to avoid during your second trimester  or at least adapt them to your growing belly. Deep twists from the belly  compress all of your internal organs, including the uterus. You can  continue to do the twists, just do them gently from the shoulders  instead of the belly.</p>
<p>Of course avoid any jumping or poses that require back bends.  Abdominal strengtheners should be avoided, as they need to be softened  in preparation for birth. Of course, lying on the belly should not be  practiced once you begin to show. It will probably be too uncomfortable  for you anyway.</p>
<p>Practice the Birthing Breath, deep inhalations in through the nose and exhaling slowly through the mouth.</p>
<p>Third Trimester?</p>
<p>In the third trimester of your pregnancy, everything becomes more  difficult to do. Tying your shoes, climbing upstairs and even turning  over in bed can become a chore. Yoga will become more difficult and you  should use more caution but there isn’t any reason you can’t continue to  practice yoga up to your due date.</p>
<p>For those that were working and are now on maternity leave, you might  just now be finding time to do prenatal yoga. You will still benefit  from doing gentle yoga stretches and poses. If you are attending a  class, be sure your teacher knows when you are due. Remember, now is the  time to take it easy. It isn’t the time to be an overachiever. Always  check with your doctor before starting any exercise program or if you  have questions about which prenatal yoga is best for you.</p>
<p>If you are listening to your body, it will tell you what you can and  can’t do. Continue to stay in touch with your body, allow your body to  take it easy. It’s a good idea to continue practice breathing, as this  will help you during the birth process.</p>
<p>Some poses that are recommended for the third trimester are hip  openers such as Pigeon, Warrior II, Triangle, and Knee to Ankle. All  four Cat-Cow positions will also help by preparing the baby for birth.  They will help the baby get in proper position, head down and it’s back  turned toward your belly.</p>
<p>Of course, the same poses you adapted during your second trimester  must be practiced with extra caution. No jumping, or twisting from the  belly, deep back bends or anything that involves strengthening the  abdomen. Goes without saying, there shouldn’t be any poses that need you  to lie on your belly.</p>
<p>One of the more important aspects to remember when you are practicing  Yoga during pregnancy is to control your breathing and listen to your  body. Practicing yoga and listening to your body will help prepare  mentally for the birth process. As you learn to be in the moment and  quiet your inner body, Yoga will help with that as well as your  breathing exercises.</p>
<p>Pregnancy doesn’t have to be an obstacle in your practice of Yoga. In  fact, it can be a vital part of your prenatal routine. With poses that  are designed for pregnancy and incorporating routines that will help you  to have an easier birth. Some routines you will find you are unable to  do. If you are unsure of the poses, listen to your body. It will tell  you which ones that are too much for you in time in your pregnancy.</p>
<p>So, don’t be afraid to continue your Yoga practice. It may mean that  you will have an easier delivery and a faster recovery after birth. It  also should make getting into shape after birth easier as well.</p>

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most common type and is the leading  cause of heart attacks. When you have CAD, your arteries become hard  and narrow. Blood has a hard time getting to the heart, so the heart  does not get all the blood it needs. CAD can lead to.<span id="more-271"></span></p>
<p>Angina is chest pain or discomfort that happens when the heart does not  get enough blood. It may feel like a pressing or squeezing pain, often  in the chest, but sometimes the pain is in the shoulders, arms, neck,  jaw, or back. Angina is not a heart attack, but having angina means you  are more likely to have a heart attack.<br />
Heart attack occurs when an artery is severely or completely blocked,  and the heart does not get the blood it needs for more than 20 minutes.</p>
<p>Heart failure occurs when the heart is not able to pump blood through  the body as well as it should. This means that other organs, which  normally get blood from the heart, do not get enough blood. It does NOT  mean that the heart stops.<br />
Heart arrhythmias are changes in the beat of the heart. Most people have  felt dizzy, faint, out of breath or had chest pains at one time. These  changes in heartbeat are, for most people, harmless. As you get older,  you are more likely to have arrhythmias. Don’t panic if you have a few  flutters or if your heart races once in a while.<br />
Sedentary people are about twice as likely to die of a heart attack as  people who are physically active. In Canada, cardiovascular disease  (CVD) remains the number one cause of premature death. It claims the  lives of 79 500 Canadians each year and costs the health-care system  over $7.3 billion in direct costs. By 2011, the annual growth in deaths  due to CVD will be over four times the population growth. Regular  physical activity can reduce the risk of this disease.<br />
In addition to its effects on the heart, exercise makes the lungs more  efficient. They take in more oxygen, and their vital capacity (ability  to take in and expel air) is increased, providing more energy for you to  use. As demonstrated in a 20-year study of almost 4000 men, regular  physical activity also makes blood less likely to clot and cause a  stroke or heart attack. There are many different types of cancers. All  of them are characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal  cells in some part of the body.<br />
An estimated 153,100 new cases of cancer and 70,400 deaths from cancer  will occur in Canada in 2006. The most frequently diagnosed cancer will  continue to be breast cancer for women and prostate cancer for men. The  leading cause of cancer death for both sexes continues to be lung  cancer.<br />
Recent studies have shown that physical activity can reduce the risk of  colon cancer by as much as 50 percent. There were 5900 deaths in Canada  from colorectal cancer in 1997. Physically fit men are less likely to  die of prostate and colon cancer than others. Research also shows that  physical activity may protect against breast cancer in women by lowering  blood levels of estrogen in postmenopausal women.<br />
There are many known risk factors for cancer such as tobacco use, poor  diet and other risks. Tobacco Use is the cause of almost 30 per cent of  all fatal cancers in Canada and a major cause of lung cancer, one of the  most preventable cancers. Diet with a high proportion of dietary fat  causes about 20 per cent of fatal cancers. Colon and prostate cancers  are associated with diets high in fat. Other Risks include workplace  hazards, family history, alcohol use, reproductive factors, sexual  activity, sunlight, drugs, and ionizing radiation.<br />
Furthermore, Weak and brittle bones are common among people who dont  exercise. Osteoporosis, a condition in which bones lose their mineral  density and become increasingly susceptible to injury, affects a great  many older people. Women, in particular, are more vulnerable because  their bones are less dense to begin with. Close to 25 percent of women  over age 50 and half over age 70 will develop osteoporosis.<br />
Researchers estimate that a minimum of two 45-minute exercise sessions per week may protect the bones of postmenopausal women.<br />
Moreover, moderate exercise correlates with a reduced number of sick  days. Exercise may enhance immune function by reducing stress hormones  like cortisol that can dampen resistance to disease.<br />
In recent studies, women who walked briskly for 35 to 45 minutes five  days a week experienced half the number of sick days with cold symptoms  as inactive women. While moderate exercise seems to bolster a persons  immune system, heavy training may increase the risk of upper respiratory  tract infections for endurance athletes.<br />
Additionally, Exercise makes people feel good from the inside out.<br />
Exercise boosts mood, increases energy, reduces anxiety, improves  concentration and alertness, and increases the ability to handle stress.  This may be the result of increased levels of mood-elevating brain  chemicals called endorphins.</p>

1.Workout – There is a lot a person can do such jogging or walking  in  the morning, playing basketball or any other sport with friends but if a  person wants to have muscles and look lean, the best thing to do will  be to sign up and workout in a gym.<br />
A person who has never worked out before should do it gradually. Doing  it too much for the first time can make one pull a muscle or have an  injury making it worse. Endurance will never be built in a day and doing  it repeatedly will surely be good to the person. Focusing on certain  portion in the body can help make it improve.<br />
2.Exercise – Physical exercise is beneficial because it helps maintain  and improve ones health from a variety of diseases and premature death.   It also makes a person feel happier and increases ones self esteem  preventing one from falling into depression or anxiety. It has also  shown to make a person with an active lifestyle live longer than a  person who doesn’t.<br />
The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training  exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio  that will increase ones metabolism and make one either gain or lose  weight. Just like taking any medicine, one should first consult the  doctor before undergoing any form of exercise.<br />
3.Reading – Reading books and other reading material more often keeps  the mind sharp just like working out keeps the body in shape.<br />
4.Time out  – Overwork produces stress. One can reduce this by taking  the time out to do  something special like lying in a hot tub, shopping  or watching a movie. Studies have shown it is reliever and helps one  from looking haggardly.<br />
3.Pollution – Pollution is something people cannot control given the  size of the problem. When one goes out, it is best to put some form of  protection such as beauty products that contain antioxidants that  protect the skin from damage. There are also other beauty products  available and choosing the right one with the help of a dermatologist  can help the person.<br />
4.Stop Smoking – Another way to stay healthy is to give up some vices.  Most people smoke and drink. Smoking has been proven to cause lung  cancer and other diseases as well complications for women giving birth.  Excessive drinking has also shown to do the same.<br />
5.Avoid Second Hand Smoke – For people who don’t smoke, it is best to  stay away from people who do since studies have shown that nonsmokers  are also at risk of developing cancer due to secondary smoke inhalation.<br />
